Who we are
Internet of Things News (https://internetofthingsnews.com) is published by ARKé S.r.l., Rome, Italy, which is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Reading the site. The site is static and sets no tracking cookies of its own. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and request headers to deliver pages and to protect against abuse, and gives us aggregated, privacy-preserving traffic statistics that do not identify you.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address and the time of subscription are stored by our email service provider so that we can send the newsletter. Open and click statistics may be collected by that provider. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email; your address is then deleted from the active list.
- Email you send us. Kept as long as needed to handle your request.
- Directory and job listings. Business contact details submitted for a listing are published on the listing page as agreed with you.
Advertising and affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links; when you buy through them we may earn a commission at no cost to you, and the merchant may set its own cookies on its site. If we display advertising through a third-party network, that network may use cookies and similar technologies subject to your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the consent banner shown at that time.
Legal basis and your rights
We process data to perform the services you request (newsletter, listings), on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and on your consent where it is required. Under the GDPR and comparable laws you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing, by emailing us. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Retention and transfers
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest revision at the top.
